Outpost Occupation Battle: Korea’s New Cross-Server PvPvE Mode

The Korean Main Server update applied on October 7, 2026 adds 전초기지 점령전, which we refer to descriptively as Outpost Occupation Battle. It is a new Cross-Server War PvPvE mode that puts two servers directly against each other. The English name is not official, and this mode has not been confirmed for Europe or North American Lineage II Aden.

What Changes with Outpost Occupation Battle

The new content is available in Korea to characters level 85 and above. Each match supports up to 30 players: 15 from one server and 15 from another. Characters from the same server are allies, while players from the opposing server are set as neutral. Clan hostility and the Revenge system do not apply inside the battle.

Neither PvP nor PvE deaths cause XP loss. The winner is determined by the points earned by each server during a 15-minute match, combining territorial control with PvE objectives.

  • Players can capture Outposts and the Central Base with the base-capture skill.
  • Holding an Outpost grants points and buffs based on its occupation level. That level falls over time, but players can repair it or restore it with armored supply units.
  • After five minutes, the Four Kings appear in front of the Central Base gates. Defeating one awards points and opens the corresponding gate.
  • All Central Base gates open after ten minutes.
  • The first successful capture of the Central Base spawns the Executioner, another objective that awards points.
  • The server controlling the Central Base earns points every minute. The opposing side receives teleporters to the map crossroads to support a counterattack.
  • The Dark Order periodically attempts to neutralize the base. At 15 minutes, all monsters despawn and the two servers’ scores are compared.

Practical Impact

This is not a pure PvP arena. The system requires teams to split between capturing, defending, repairing, escorting supplies and defeating PvE objectives. Holding the Central Base provides a sustained advantage, but the trailing side’s teleporters and the recurring neutralization attempts leave room for a comeback.

Server coordination matters more than individual damage: ignoring Outposts or boss timings can cost the team points even if it wins several direct fights.

Regional availabilityConfirmed on the Korean Main Server from October 7, 2026.Cross-Server War has been available since July 29, 2026, but these notes do not include Outpost Occupation Battle.

Korea uses its own schedule, missions and rewards for this mode. Those operational details should not be treated as valid for other regions until 4game or NC America publishes its own patch notes.

Another Permanent Fix in the Patch

The same update fixes an issue with Ruby – Special Ability (Attack): its additional hit now receives Soulshot or Spiritshot damage. This gameplay correction is confirmed for Korea; adoption in other regions also remains pending official confirmation.
